Important Budget Vote
June 18, 2013
The final step in the 2013-2014 school budget approval process is a town wide vote on Tuesday, June 18. In order for our school budget to adopted, the citizens of Veazie must approve it on that day. Your support with a “Yes” vote would be greatly appreciated.

Last Student Day Early Dismissal: The last student day of the school year will be Thursday, June 13. This will be a 12:30PM dismissal.
Pre-K Applications: The Veazie Community School offers a half day pre-k experience for four year old children. Children eligible for pre-k this fall must be four years old on or before October 15, 2013. Children in our pre-k program will attend either a morning or an afternoon session lasting two and a half hours each day.
Each pre-k session will be limited to ten students. Applications for the Veazie Community School pre-k program are now available at the school office. The applications are due back at school by Friday, June 7. If you would like an application mailed to you please contact the school at 947-6573. Please give us a call if you have any questions.Kindergarten Registration 2013-2014: Kindergarten registration and screening for the 2013-2014 school year for children not already enrolled in our pre-kindergarten program will be held on the afternoon of Thursday, April 11. Any parent with a child who will be 5 years old on or before October 15, 2013 may call the school at 947-6573 before Friday, April 5, to schedule his or her child for this process. If you are considering sending your child to kindergarten next fall, please give us a call. This year’s registration will be by appointment only so that the staff may individually meet with the parents and child. Your child’s birth certificate and records of immunization need to be brought for the screening process.
