The swim team continues to have good seasons despite having some low numbers on the boys side. Swimming is much like track in the sense that you could have some good athletes that cover some of the events, unfortunately, they can’t cover them all. That was the case with the boys as they only had nine members. That was the case with the boys as they only had nine members. They finished 7th in the PVC meet and then placed 28th in the state meet. None of our boys swimmers made it to the finals in individual events but our boys 400 Freestyle Relay did qualify for the consolation round at the state meet. The girls team had fourteen swimmers including a diver. They were able to cover more events and had some terrific showings during the regular season and an even more impressive performance at the PVC meet. They finished in third place at the PVC Championships behind only powerhouses Bangor and MDI.
